After 86 long years, the day finally came. October 27, 2004 was the greatest day for Red Sox fans. The curse has been snapped. The Red Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals and won the World Series sending mayhem to the streets of Boston and joy to Red Sox to Red Sox fans everywhere.
